It is a great honor to be the mentor and guide of the Zonal Electric Training Center, Vadodara at this critical juncture of transition & transformation. ZETC’s vision Enlightenment through Excellence in Value-Based Management and Technology Education is our ideology and guiding force.

We have taken several initiatives, like establishing a simulation center for hands-on training to LPs and ALPs, up-gradation of library resources and adding three-phase and conventional Lab for maintenance staff. All out efforts are made to identify the potential in each & every trainee and prepare them to meet the challenges in the contemporary working environment of Railways. The trainees are inculcated the habit of lateral and innovative thinking, reading, research orientation, decision-making capability along with nurturing and developing physical and mental strength to excel under any situation.

As Covid-19 pandemic caused serious disruption to essential services through length & breadth of country, the team of ZETC worked hard to develop online module for training of operation & maintenance staff. The changed scenario led to creative new developments, moving all functions to virtual platform and facilitated technology's upgrade.

Excellent infrastructure which includes well-equipped classrooms, LCD projectors, PowerPoint presentations, and providing online teaching notes is available at this premier training centre of WR. The trainees are encouraged to venture beyond their “comfort zones” both inside and outside the classroom. Take maximum advantage of these facilities, participate fully and evolve into a brand yourself.

Finally, I would like to conclude my message with a quotation from Swami Vivekananda’s saying We want that education by which character is formed, the strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.
